If Obama wins the election, and puts forth the vision that he has described, then I don’t have a problem with that at all.  What I have a problem with is that I don’t believe many Americans understand just what that means.  They vote for the narrow issues, they vote for the inspiration itself and they vote for the personality laced into a life story.  They don’t vote for the philosophy.

And that’s what makes me a little sad about who our next president will be.  Either we will have a republican, neo-fascist piece of shit, or we will have someone who will transform the country in ways that no one will even recognize.  All of the good that could come from Obama will not be appreciated as it should be.  That is, if it happens.

Great American leaders all have one thing in common in terms of a national vision, I think.  They all have the eloquence that is required to tap into the most complex fundamentals of America’s foundation.  I don’t believe enough people know about those concepts, though, to understand just what they’re unleashing.  We are a blind country, and even when we march to prosperity and equality, we still march blindly, in a fervor or a panic.  We are and may forever be Plato’s Deimos.

So even if we become the living image of goodness and generosity… I think that it’s still as empty as the most vicious condescension and the most prolific hatred, because I don’t believe that most understand their own country’s path.

I haven’t even named the first two, but I still want to finish the third before I get around to that.  I was always a fan of grand artistic imagery in names, and what’s better than naming something as three parts??  Nothing.

It feels really good to be able to get things out through such a complicated medium as music.  Even writing holds no water compared to the vastness of musical composition… even if I’m not the best in the world (at least I’m not the worst!)

I gotta start some kind of regular update… so here it is.

This is my wonderfully empty website.  I put some of my music up on a crappy little flash player, and am going to add some more stuff whenever I stop doing other things long enough to care about updating this.

I am currently working on a lot of different, random projects.  I have recorded two full-length CDs (they’re on the player), and am about 20% finished with the third CD.  I do some programming, and have a few games that I’m working on at a very slow pace.  I am also trying to proofread my short story, but it has been on the back-burner for months.

This site is supposed to keep me motivated to work on all of the things that make me happier in the long run.

It will also serve to be a place to tame my thoughts, and hopefully put some explanations down in words as to why the world is so completely idiotic.
